What happened today in Blue Lotus is something truly out of the ordinary. Cricket binds nations, but the fact that it can start revolutions and be so fruitful for the employees is something we only understood today.

Here’s the run up of events that led to the DECLARATION OF HALF DAY LEAVE AT BLUE LOTUS COMMUNICATIONS for the India Pakistan Semi Final Match on Wednesday, 30th March, 2011

First up to spark the revolution was Subhash Pais, Business Head at i9 communications

Subhash looking for excuses to skip work on Wednesday. Colleagues heartily reply 🙂

Following this were few mails that requested HR the same

Followed by conversations on Facebook by other employees

And finally Pooja(Our General Manager – HR) gave in and agreed to the holiday!

Pooja finally announced the holiday Officially!

Yahoooosss all around!!

Blue Lotus Launches Online Assessment Software to Test PR Skills   Leave a comment

Blue Lotus Communications has introduced a technology-based new recruit assessment platform, called Online Assessment Center (OAC), for creating a more robust, unbiased and swift method for standardized testing of new recruits. With the Indian PR Industry facing growth pangs, trying to find good talent to meet the growing demand for PR through efficient means will create a critical differentiator in recruitment quality.

N. Chandramouli, CEO and Founder of Blue Lotus Communications Pvt. Ltd., said, “At Blue Lotus we believe in taking radical and big-step jumps in all we do. In the first 8 years of our existence, Blue Lotus was differentiated through our knowledge and understanding. With the introduction of the Online Assessment Center, we will give our recruitment quality a big impetus. In a period when mistakes in recruitment can be costly, the OAC platform will increase the chances of finding the right fit.”

The new Blue Lotus assessment process tests the subjective understanding & knowledge of candidates rather than a functional assessment alone. This online assessment testing methodology is based on a set of dynamically generated random questions which help test the General Awareness, Knowledge of Communications and Writing Skills of the candidates making assessment more efficient. These tests will be applicable for all PR personnel handling client and media servicing positions.
